Privacy policy

For the Space Dawg website, spacedawg.co.uk.

Last updated 25 October 2026

This website is run by Space Dawg (“we”, “us”), a games studio in the UK. This policy explains what the website collects, why, and the choices you have. Questions: support@spacedawg.co.uk.

Our game, The Miniputt Open, has its own privacy policy, which covers what the game collects when you play, including in your browser.

What we collect

If you sign up to hear about our new games, we store:

  • your email address,
  • when you signed up and ticked the consent box, and
  • which page's form you used (for example, the contact page).

We use your address only to email you when Space Dawg releases a new game. We don't sell it, share it for marketing, or add it to anything else. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

When you visit any page, our web server records technical logs, including your IP address, the page asked for and your browser type. We keep these for up to 30 days, to keep the site secure and fix problems.

That's all. The website has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising trackers, and our fonts and images come from our own server.

Unsubscribing and deleting your email

We don't send emails yet. To unsubscribe, email support@spacedawg.co.uk from the address you signed up with, with the subject “Unsubscribe”. We'll mark your address as unsubscribed and won't email it again. We keep an unsubscribed address only so that we know not to email it; if you'd rather we deleted it completely, say so in your email and we will. We act on requests within 30 days. When we do start sending emails, every one will also tell you how to unsubscribe.

Who else is involved

  • Cloudflare Turnstile protects the signup form from bots. When the form is on the page, Turnstile runs a check in your browser and Cloudflare processes information such as your IP address and browser details to tell people from bots. See Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy addendum.
  • Our hosting provider, which runs the servers that host this website and store signups.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, under their own data protection safeguards.

Cookies

This website doesn't set any cookies of its own. The only exception is anything Cloudflare Turnstile strictly needs to run its check on pages with the signup form.

The web version of The Miniputt Open, at miniputt-play.spacedawg.co.uk, shows ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies there to show and measure ads. See how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can manage personalised ads in Google's My Ad Center. The game's own privacy policy covers the game.

Children

The signup isn't meant for children under 13. If you think a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete their address.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR), you can ask us to:

  • tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy,
  • correct it,
  • delete it,
  • restrict or object to how we use it, and
  • give it to you in a format you can take elsewhere.

You can also withdraw your consent to our emails at any time. Email support@spacedawg.co.uk from the address concerned. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
